What is the difference between your office and one of those chain stores that offer glasses in an hour?

Patient care is more one on one in our office and we feel we do a more thorough exam.  The chain stores offer gimmicks to get you in the door and their glasses specials are limited quantities as well as less quality.  The specials that they run only cover single vision lenses and do not include any coatings or warranties.

How long does and exam take?

A comprehensive exam usually takes around one hour.

 How much is an exam?

A comprehensive eye exam is $102.00.  If you are getting contacts there is a fitting fee of $49-$88 depending on what type of contacts your eyes require.

Why am I being charged a fitting fee for my contacts?

Fitting contacts requires a more comprehensive exam.

 What is astigmatism?

Astigmatism means your eye is not shaped like a perfect half sphere.

What does it mean if I have a toric lens?

A toric lens is a type of lens that is fitted for your astigmatism.

Why do you need my health insurance card?

We need your health insurance card so we have correct information for billing your exam.  If your exam is for something other than a routine vision exam, we can submit the bill to your health insurance.

Why do you need my email address?

We are trying to save time and paper by emailing appointment reminders, statements, and recall notices.  We will never sell or share your email address.   We will send updates on sales, trunk shows, and the doctor’s blog, but we will not overwhelm your inbox.
